Ex-boyzone man to play Grand Canal Theatre on March 23

Ronan Keating divides thought at the 2night office. Some of us see him as a pox on modern music, both sanitising and murdering classic songs such as Fairytale of New York. The others just think he's merely god-awful. Nonetheless, he's still a major draw, and his charity work in memory of his late mother has won him a lot of non-musical respect. Last year saw the Boyzone frontman journey from embodiment of cheesiness to subject of mass sympathy, following the death of bandmate Stephen Gately and the subsequent tabloid carnage. Now touring the UK and Ireland on the back of Songs For My Mother, a covers collection that did exactly what it said on the tin, it looks like it's back to business as usual. Tickets for this Grand Canal Theatre show are available from €47.20.
